After preheating your iron or heat press for at least 5 minutes to your desired setting, remove the backer paper from the adhesive side and stick it to a piece of paper. Lay the paper on your degraded surface (ironing board or wool mat). Place parchment paper over your test strip and press your iron or heat press on the strip for 8 seconds. Lift. The highest setting with a black box is the temperature range your device has reached. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRecommendation: set your device lower than you think you need and complete the steps above. If your test strip reflects your temparature is below the required setting, raise your temperature and test again. Repeat as needed and note your settings for future projects.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOnce your test strip has completed a test any black boxes filled will not be useable again, as it will no longer read any lower temparature settings. That is the reason I suggest starting at a lower setting and raising as needed.
